There are wonderful moments when everything comes together, unexpected twists and turns, and days when you wonder how such a simple idea became so complicated! Having started and grown a nonprofit myself, I know the adventure firsthand.
That's what Raising a Nonprofit Consulting is all about. Whether you're nurturing a new idea, navigating change, or wondering what comes next, sometimes it helps to have someone pull up a chair, ask a few good questions, and think things through with you.
After all, there's no one way to raise a nonprofit. And some of the best things happen when we figure it out together.

Over the years, I've seen the nonprofit world from just about every angle. I've been the person with the big idea, the only employee, the one figuring out how to make payroll, and the executive leading an organization that grew beyond anything I imagined.
And after all these years, I'm still curious.
I love learning what makes an organization special. How it came to be. Who brought it to life. What keeps its leaders up at night. And what strengths and opportunities might be waiting to be discovered.
Because if experience has taught me anything, it's that there's no magic formula for raising a nonprofit. Every organization has its own story, its own people, and its own way of finding its footing.
And figuring out what works for each one? That's some of my favorite work.
